Funding Options

We believe that you should know what your legal costs are likely to be, upfront and whether there are any funding options open to you.

Private Paying

To begin with, we recognize that consulting a solicitor can be a daunting experience, especially when you do not know how much it is all going to cost.

Family & Matrimonial, Property, Employment: We offer a half hour fixed fee consultation. At this initial consultation we will legally advise you and inform you of the costs likely to be incurred if instructed and any funding options that may be available to you.

Our charges are based upon an hourly rate which depends upon the seniority of the solicitor dealing with your matter and its complexity.  At the commencement of any transaction, we will provide you with an estimate of your likely costs and will invoice you on an interim basis, so you know how much you are paying and for what.  This also helps you budget for your costs.

Wills & Estate Administration (Probate): For all estate administration/probate matters we offer a free half hour consultation.  Thereafter, our fees are calculated on a percentage basis depending upon the value of the estate. For straightforward Will drafting, we offer a fixed fee.

Conveyancing Residential & Commercial:  You can obtain an estimate of your legal fees by using our Estimate Calculator.

We accept payment by cash (up to a maximum of £500 per transaction), cheque, BACS, debit card, mastercard and visa.

Public Funding

This firm does not carry out public funding work.

Legal Expenses Funding

With the demise of public funding, more and more people are taking out legal expenses insurance. This is often an "add on" to a household insurance policy or to a motor policy. If you have the benefit of legal expenses insurance, we will be more than happy to take on your case for you. You should note, that some legal expense insurers insist that you use their solicitors. You are however, not obliged to instruct them should you not wish to do so.

After the event Insurance

If you do not have the benefit of legal expense insurance with an existing policy you can now take out an after the event insurance policy to assist in funding your case. As the legal insurance market grows, so do the number and types of products available. We will be happy to discuss your options upon instruction.
